Ranger Location
Ranger College is located in Ranger, Texas, a small community just off Interstate 20, halfway between Ft. Worth and Abilene, and 40 miles northwest of Stephenville. We compete in the Southwest Region, which consists of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Ranger is located right in the middle of the rodeo country; it is an excellent location if you are interested in competing in rodeo.
Ranger College History
Ranger has a history of having a strong Rodeo Program, with great support from the college faculty and staff, as well as the local community. We are a junior college with a full academic curriculum, as well as a welding certification program, and offer a two year associate’s degree that will allow you to go to any four-year college to continue to pursue your college education and college rodeo career.
Practice Facility
Ranger College offers a practice facility, a place to keep member’s horses, as well as practice cattle and bucking horses. We have supervised practices every afternoon after school. A strong women’s team is emphasized, as well as a balanced men’s team. We focus on both rough stock and timed events.
